Dongjun Machinery established a doctoral workstation at Southwest Petroleum University
Southwest Petroleum University was established in 1958 and is the second petroleum undergraduate institution established in New China. It is a teaching and research oriented university jointly built by the central and local governments, mainly managed by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government. Originally named Sichuan Petroleum Institute, it was renamed Southwest Petroleum Institute in 1970 and Southwest Petroleum University in 2005. After 50 years of construction and development, the school has become a multi-disciplinary university with the characteristics and advantages of petroleum and natural gas and its supporting disciplines. It has a wide range of social general majors, with engineering as the main focus and coordinated development of science, engineering, management, economics, literature, law, and education. The school has a complete range of disciplines, reasonable professional settings, and complete educational levels. It is one of the earliest universities in the country to have the right to confer doctoral, master's, and bachelor's degrees. Known as the Huangpu Military Academy among petroleum universities.
